Sybil Crotts Jermane Dies

Sybil Crotts Jermane, age 89 of New London, NC died Tuesday, December 11 at The Lutheran Home in Albemarle. Graveside service will 3:00 pm Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at Taylors Grove Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by Rev. Derald Smith. Born April 30, 1923 in Davidson County to John Ollie Crotts and Maggie Bell Sidden Crotts. She was married to Paul Thomas Jermane who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by sons, Kenny (Sprout) Jermane and Sam Jermane, a daughter Bonnie Shaver, sisters Avonell McVey and Fleta Ford and brother J. O. Crotts. Survived by one son, Ronald Dean (Screwdriver) Jermane of New London; daughters, Paula Forrest of New London, Deborah Jermane of Albemarle and Jackie Drew of Gold Hill; sister Bobbie Lou Rosser of Marshall; 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Jerry Thomas Darnell Dies

Jerry Thomas Darnell, 71, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Forsyth Medical Center. A funeral Service will be 11 a.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012, at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Wayne Tuttle and Wayne Sechrest officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Born July 7, 1941, in Davidson County, to Garthard William Darnell and Frances Davis Darnell. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Bill Darnell and sister-in-law, Barbara. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Crotts Darnell of the home; sons, Tim Darnell and wife, Tina, David Darnell and companion, Ashleigh, Gregory Scott Darnell, all of Lexington, and Michael Darnell and wife, Shawna, of Advance; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother, Danny David Darnell and wife, Sylvia, of Lexington; and sister, Frankie Powell and husband, Bobby, of Lexington. Mildred Queen Wood, age 96, of Lexington passed away Tuesday night at her home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Thursday night at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Born in Davidson County, March 24, 1916 to Lorenzo Dowe Queen and Grace Crotts Queen; preceded in death by her first husband; Lewis A. Rumley and second husband Russell (Bill) Wood and a brother, Richard Murphy Queen. Jason Edsel Everhart, 77, passed Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Lexington Health Care of Lexington. Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Second Reformed United Church of Christ by the Rev. Dr. William B. Shrout Sr.; Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Born Dec. 13, 1934, in Davidson County to the late Jason Harper Everhart and Mary Merle Miller Everhart; preceded in death by his sons Teddy Everhart and Toby Everhart. Surviving are his wife, Alice (Polly) Swing Everhart; son Tim Everhart and wife Michelle of Lexington; six grandchildren, Misty, T. Cynthia Ann Beck Martin Dies

Cynthia Ann Beck Martin, 55, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Born in Davidson County on June 13, 1957, to the late James Vernon and Helen Whitlock Beck. Larry Hubert Crotts, 67, of Lexington, passed Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Health Palliative Care in Winston-Salem. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church; officiated by Dr. Ray Howell, 3rd and the Rev. Tommy Wilson. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the residence. Born in Davidson County on Oct. 16, 1944, to Hubert Charles Crotts and Margaret Catherine Nifong Crotts. Preceded in death by his father; and an infant sister, Kathy Lenora Lanier. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Shirley Erschen Crotts, of the home; his mother, Margaret Lanier of Advance; and stepfather Joe D. Lanier; brothers Rickey Eugene Crotts and wife Okhui Park of Lexington and Joe D. Nellie Marie Crotts Cole, 69, of Asheboro, NC, passed Monday, May 21, 2012, at The Randolph Hospice House. A graveside service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, May 23, 2012, at Smyrna Grove Community Church Cemetery with Rev. David Hunt officiating.  Native of Randolph County, NC, born April 19, 1943; the daughter of the late David Crotts and Addie Marie Hancock Crotts. Survived by sons, David Rex Cole, Darren Cole and wife, Renita, all of Asheboro; brother, Carlton Crotts and wife, Mary, of Asheboro; and grandson, Caleb Cole. No direct Briles Line.

Euna Hunt Kennedy Passes

TRINITY-Euna Hunt Kennedy, age 95, passed Sunday, April 22, 2012. Private services was held at Hopewell United Methodist Church in Trinity, NC. Native and lifelong resident of Randolph County, born August 4th, 1916 a daughter of the late John and Rosa Evans Hunt. Her husband of fifty two years, Albert Kennedy passed away on December 9th, 1993.Surviving are her daughters, Carmelle LaMarr and her husband Dr. Bobby LaMarr of Trinity and Christine Moore and her husband Don of Maryland. Also surviving are four grandchildren, Melinda Ellis and her husband Eric of Trinity, Phyllis McCutchen and her husband Dr. Quinn McCutchen of Clemmons, Donna Moore of Maryland and Michael Moore and his wife Dawn of Maryland; four great-grandchildren, Jessica McClure and her husband Pastor Jeremiah McClure, Nathaniel Ellis, Jocelyn Jackson, Trevor Jackson and three great-great-grandchildren, Selah McClure and Meraya McClure and Amiah McClure.

Hazel Hill Crotts, 88, of Trinity, passed Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at High Point Regional. A funeral service will be held 2pm, Friday, February 17th at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting, with Mr. Brian Donley and Mr. Randy Quate officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 16th from 6 until 8 pm at the funeral home. Born June 29, 1923, in Randolph County a daughter of the late Walter and Martha Crotts Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Wayne Crotts and a brother, Gilbert Hill. Survived by three daughters, Doris Trotter of Archdale, Nadine Jones and her husband, Larry, and Kay Bartlett and her husband John all of Trinity; four brothers, Jack D. Hill and his wife Tiney of Virginia, Lloyd Hill and his wife Bernice of Lexington, Homer Hill and Leonard Hill both of Trinity; two sisters, Maxine Coltrane of Asheboro and Elizabeth Enyart and her husband, John of ST. Lucie, FL; one sister in law, Euvenia Hill of Asheboro; three granddaughters, Sonja Smith, Lynne Jones, and Sarah Bartlett; and one great granddaughter, Hannah Smith.

David Hunt officiating. Born in Randolph County on August 21, 1956 to Ernest and Ella Hancock Crotts, who preceded him in death. Survived by his sister, Evelyn C. Smith of Asheboro, NC; brother, Donald Crotts and his wife Ruth of Asheboro, NC; niece, Michelle Scearce and her husband Lee of Elizabeth City, NC; nephews, Nathan Crotts of Asheboro, NC and Eric Crotts and his wife Camille of Charleston, SC.

Born in Davidson County, February 5, 1929 to John Henry Beck and Ollie Everhart Loggins Beck. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank Loggins and Leonard Beck; sisters, Lillie Beck Crotts and Inez Beck Fritts. Surviving are; his wife, Juanita Bates Beck of the home; in-laws, Peggy Bates, Marzell Crotts, Brenda Bates, Jack Kennedy, J.W. and Betty Bates; special nieces and nephew, Susan Odom, Donna Younts, Glenda Hobbs and Gary Bates and many other loved and cherished nieces and nephews.
