Heather Lynn Briles Dies

Attica, IN - Heather Lynn Briles, 33, of Attica, died unexpectedly at 3:06 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital. 

Visitation will be held at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Saturday, Feb 1, from 12:00 p.m until the service time of 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Badgley officiating. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, Attica. 

Born on July 25, 1986 in Lafayette. She was the daughter of Mark A. Odore and Tina A. Briles. 

Surviving along with her parents are five children, Chloe Briles, Averey Powell, Caiden Seward, Ryder Combs & Ellie Cary, all at home; two sisters, Tiffany Briles, Attica and Christa (Cody) Schultz, Lafayette; brother, Blake Spear, Attica; grandmothers, Linda Butler, Attica and Gloria Briles, Lafayette; five nieces and a nephew.

Mildred Leness Williamson Robbins

Mildred Leness Williamson Robbins, 74 of Gold Hill, NC passed away Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Ave. Asheboro, NC. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
Born January 19, 1946 in Randolph County she was the daughter of the late Mildred Louise Miller and Willie Wearthy Williamson.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Robbins and brothers, Mitchell Williamson and OD Williamson.
Those left to cherish her memory are husband, Douglas D. Laney, whom she married February 14, 2015; children Beth Pierce of Rockwell, Terry Pierce of Columbia, SC and Star Shown (Keith) of Asheboro, NC,; grandchildren David Ayers, Adam Overman, Christina Watkins, Olivia Shown, Brittany Shown and Bryson Shown; great-grandchildren Brandon Watkins, Aiden Overman, Lexus Overman, Courtney Watkins, Angel Roberts, Logan Walker and Rylee Nickerson; brothers, Howard Williamson of Texas, Lawrence Williamson of Randolph Co., Richard Williamson, Randolph Co.; sisters, Amerlyes Thomas of Randolph Co., Colleen Adams of Randolph Co., Bernadette Bowen of Randolph Co., Phyllis Busbin of Rowan Co., Gwen McDowell of Randolph Co., Vivian Nutter of Randolph Co. and Vickie Williamson of Randolph Co.

Jane Nance Frye, age 55, of Raleigh died Friday, January 17, 2020 at WakeMed Raleigh Campus, Raleigh.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 20, 2020 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro with Rev. Ray Lamb officiating. Burial will follow at Back Creek Friends Meeting, Asheboro. Born September 12, 1964 the daughter of Wesley Waie Nance and Ruth Marie Miller Nance, who preceded her in death. Native of Randolph County, she is survived by her husband: Lee Frye.

Douglas “Doug” Eugene Parrish, 56, of Thomasville passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Thomasville Medical Center. There will be no formal services for Mr. Parrish.

Born on May 6, 1963 to the late Dugan Eugene Parrish and Carol Ivey Haney Parrish.

 Doug is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Gonzalez and husband Chris of High Point; a grandson, Tobias “Toby” Gonzalez of High Point; and one sister, Connie Louise Parrish of Thomasville.
