The main databases have been updated to include works on Hill, Pierce, Everhart, Briles, Parrish, Hunt, Wood and Gallimore Surnames. This major update includes the latest passings and extensive work on the Robert Japser Pierce lineage along with his grandfather, Eli Pierce and father Jesse William Pierce!

Mildred Queen Wood Dies
Mildred Queen Wood, age 96, of Lexington passed away Tuesday night at her home. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday in the Davidson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Richard Barker officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends Thursday night at Davidson Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Born in Davidson County, March 24, 1916 to Lorenzo Dowe Queen and Grace Crotts Queen; preceded in death by her first husband; Lewis A. Rumley and second husband Russell (Bill) Wood and a brother, Richard Murphy Queen. Surviving are; sons, Robert Dowe (Rum) Rumley of Welcome and Richard Curtis Rumley and wife Eugenia of Arcadia, Russell Grant Wood of Lexington; grandchildren, Scott Rumley and wife Lisa, Russell Rumley, Grace Long and husband Jeff and Richard Rumley and wife April; great-grandchildren, Scott Rumley, II, Jessica Rumley Ramirez and husband Edwin, Corporal Kayla Rumley Daube and husband Corporal Tyler Daube both of the USMC, Dillon Rumley, Destany Long and Nathan Rumley; great-great-grandson, Brayden Daube.

Blanche Parrish Bray Dies; Line to Briles
Blanche Parrish Bray, age 86 formerly of Bescher Chapel Road, Trinity, NC passed today, Monday, November 26 at Carillon Assisted Living in Asheboro.cA graveside service will be held 4:00 PM Wednesday at Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist church Cemetery with Mr. Mac Summey, Jr. officiating. The family will see friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Born June 13, 1926 in Randolph County to Onslow Parrish and Velora Wood Parrish; preceded her in death by her husband Robert Bray. Survived by a son, Bobby Joe Bray and wife Gail of Denton; daughter Wanda Bray Wall and husband Walter of Winston-Salem; 3 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
