Doris Lucille Beck Nifong

Doris Lucille Beck Nifong, age 87 passed Wednesday, Aug 29, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Faith Chapel with Rev. Patrick Davis officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM Born July 2, 1925 in Davidson Co. NC daughter of the late Ambrose Beck and Bessie Jeanetta Myers Beck.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Nifong; six sisters, Loma Rothrock, Dovie Byerly, Ruby Sullivan, Mattie Rickard, Eula Mae Murphy and Hida Rea Tuttle; five brothers, Fred Beck, Olin Beck, Gilbert Beck, Roy Beck and Howard Beck. Surviving are, two daughters, Anita Nifong Rash and husband Gary of Thomasville and Gilda Nifong and husband Ramesh Mansukhani of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Evelyn Marion and husband Emmitt of Charlotte and Pearl Brinkley of Thomasville, NC; five grandchildren, Clint Reece of Charlotte, Shalene Reece of Boiling Spring Lakes, NC, Andy Nifong and wife Shannon of Easley, SC, Tommy Nifong and wife Ashley of Rock Hill, SC and Leah Rash of Thomasville; two great granddaughters, India Nifong and Olivia Nifong. Larry Hubert Crotts

Larry Hubert Crotts, 67, of Lexington, passed Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, at Wake Forest Baptist Health Palliative Care in Winston-Salem. A Celebration of Life will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church; officiated by Dr. Ray Howell, 3rd and the Rev. Tommy Wilson. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the church fellowship hall and at other times at the residence. Born in Davidson County on Oct. 16, 1944, to Hubert Charles Crotts and Margaret Catherine Nifong Crotts. Preceded in death by his father; and an infant sister, Kathy Lenora Lanier. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Shirley Erschen Crotts, of the home; his mother, Margaret Lanier of Advance; and stepfather Joe D. Lanier; brothers Rickey Eugene Crotts and wife Okhui Park of Lexington and Joe D. Lanier Jr., and wife Mary of Mocksville; sisters Linda Cornatzer of Advance and Cindy Cornatzer and husband Dale of Mocksville; nieces Brandi (Victor) and Christy; and nephews Charles (Alexis), Chris (Sarah) , Chad, Derek and Gene; four great-nephews; and his beloved dog, Max.
