Pauline Watford Martin Dies
Pauline Watford (Polly) Martin, 98 of Thomasville died Sunday November, 18, 2012 at Pine Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. David Bowman officiating. Born February 8, 1914 in Davidson County a daughter of the late John Ray Watford and Lillie Hepler Watford. She was married February 20, 1937 to Ben F. Martin who preceded her in death July 10, 2001. Also she was preceded in death by five brothers Carl, Austin, Jack, J.R. and S. C. Watford. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy M. Woods and husband Harold of Thomasville; one son, John A. Martin of Thomasville; one grandson, Rodger Woods and wife Patti of Harmony; two great-grandchildren Emily Woods and Joshua Woods. One brother, Roy Watford and wife Hannah of Thomasville; two nieces Danita Gordon (Mike) and Lorie Brooks (Danny) and two nephews, Gary Watford and Jeffrey Watford (Brenda).

Cynthia Ann Beck Martin Dies
Cynthia Ann Beck Martin, 55, of Winston-Salem, passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. A celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Born in Davidson County on June 13, 1957, to the late James Vernon and Helen Whitlock Beck. Survived by her husband of 38 years, Jerry Wayne Martin Sr.; three sons, Jerry Wayne Martin Jr.; Travis James Martin and Tabitha; and Bradley Aaron Martin; a stepson, Chris Berrier; a sister, Brenda Beck Clary; three grandchildren, Taehlyn Grey Martin, Tucker James Martin and Jacob Ashton Martin; and her mother-in-law, Mary T. Martin.
