Ernest Grover Kinley

 

Ernest Grover Kinley, 79, of Thomasville passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center. 

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Dan Parr officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home.

Ernest was born November 27, 1942 in Randolph County to the late Lonnie Kinley and Lucille Hogan Kinley. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Johnson; one brother, Gary Thomas Kinley; and one grandson, Austin Grant.

 Surviving is his loving wife, Sylvia Marie Persiani Kinley of the home; two daughters, Sharon Kinley Alford and husband Gary, Teresa Grant and husband Danny; one son, Danny Kinley and wife Kim; two sisters, Linda “Susie” Beck and husband Charles, Patsy Cagle and husband Gerald; eight grandchildren, Hailey Grant (Cole), Haley Hinkle and fiancĂ© Jacob, Jalen Woodrow, Levi Kinley (Payton), Collin Grant, Samantha Alford, BJ Alford, Austin Workman; one great-grandson, Brandon Alford; he also leaves behind his fur baby, “Sweet Pea”.

Julian Floren Briles Dies

Julian Floren Briles, age 66, passed away on February 8, 2022 in Conroe, Texas. Addison Funeral Home in Spring, Texas is in charge of the arrangements which are pending. Burial will be in Houston National Cemetery. Mr. Briles is the son of Robert Nathan and Barbara Blount Briles.

Carr Max Parrish

Carr Max Parrish, age 81, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022.

The Parrish Family will receive friends Sunday, February 6, 2022, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

Max was born at home on May 4, 1940 to the late Carr and Mary Elizabeth Miller Parrish in Farmer, NC.

Max was preceded in death by his infant son, Todd Max Parrish, his parents, siblings: Ester Cox, Hilda Robbins, Frances Hill Wall, Peggy Parrish, L.C. Parrish, Ray Parrish, Clegg Parrish, Ike Parrish and Arthur Parrish.

He is survived by his wife: Jane Sanders Parrish of the home; daughters: Tammy Jane (Jose) of Rockingham and Kellie Jo (Scott) McDowell of Jackson Creek, son: Carr Max “Chuck” Parrish, Jr., of Trinity; grandchildren: Joseph (Felicia) Miller of Denton, Brain (Stephanie) Anderson of Burlington, Curtis (Amanda) Anderson of Randleman and Roxanne Parson of Asheboro; and 22 great grandchildren.

Thomas Lewis Dies, Mother is Martha Briles


Thomas Lee Lewis, 61, of Washington, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at home.

A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2 until 3 p.m. at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City.

He was born December 31, 1960 in Gibson County to the late Clarence and Martha (Briles) Lewis. 

Thomas is survived by his son, Isaac Lewis (Meghan) of Arlington, Virginia; daughter, Kyra Lee Lewis of Princeton; and siblings, Lynette and Laverne.
