Brenda Kinley Welborn


 Brenda Kinley Welborn, 80, of Trinity, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Colonial Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Hollar officiating. Burial will follow at Hopewell Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9:30 AM until 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.

Born August 22, 1945, in Davidson County, a daughter of the late Clarence Lee Kinley, Sr. and the late Bessie Black Kinley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Austin Welborn.

Mrs. Welborn survived by her husband, John Austin Welborn of the home; daughter, Deborah Welborn Haynes and husband Ray of Trinity; brothers, Bascom Kinley and wife Jackie of Lexington, and Clarence Kinley, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Lexington; sisters, Judith Loftin of Thomasville, Carol Sigmon of Lexington, and twin sister, Glenda Green and husband Curtis of Lexington; grandchildren, Bradley Haynes, Whitney Welborn, and Kylie Welborn; great-grandchildren, Elizabeth Haynes, Brady Hardy, and Braxton Hardy.

 Jeremy Robert Briles, of Palmer, Alaska, passed May 25,2026. 


Born on May 30, 1989, Mr. Briles is survived by his wife, Kylie Briles (m. July 8th, 2011); his sons, Jordan and Jaxon Briles; his daughter, Kinzley Briles and his mother Windy. 


Predeceased by his grandfather, George Shoemaker.

Louise Alice B. Briles

Louise Alice Briles passed on July 3, 2026, at the age of 91. Born on July 10, 1934, was a resident of Lincoln, California.


A Memorial Service was held at Lincoln Funeral Home on July 10, 2026, at 12:00 pm.


Mrs. Briles was married to the late Robert Marion Briles.

Phillip Norris Key


Phillip Norris Key, 67, of Randleman, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2026, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel, 908 Albemarle Road, with Pastor Landon Flinchum officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m., Monday at Ridge Funeral Home prior to the service.

Born on January 9, 1959, in Randolph County, the son of the late Brady Martin Key and Margaret Briles Key.
 
In addition to his parents, preceded in death by his brother, James Key and sister, Debbie Cox.
Survived by the love of his life, wife of 20 years, Peggy Key; daughter, Kimberly Marie Jarrell (Taylor); several brothers and sisters; grandson, Mason Jarrell and several nieces and nephews.
