Shirley Ann Kindley Summey

Shirley Ann Kindley Summey, 71, a resident of Thomasville, NC passed away today, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Brian Center in Lexington. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Holly Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Mack Summey, Jr. officiating. Born April 16, 1943 in Randolph County, NC a daughter of Arbuss Kindley and Stella Hughes Kindley. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son Randy Summey, and a brother, Leo Kindley. On April 26, 1963 she married Roy H. Summey who survives of the home.

William Howard Hughes

William Howard Hughes, 67, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014, at High Point Regional Hospital. Wake will be Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 30, at 2:00 p.m. in J. C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Dan Downing officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park. Born on September 25, 1947, in Davidson County, to Howard Pegram Hughes and Lillian Kindley Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Phillip John Hughes, Larry Gene Hughes, and Bobby Andrew Hughes. On November 26, 1966, he married Carolyn Kinley Hughes who survives of the home. Also surviving is his son, Robbie Hughes and wife Melissa of Thomasville; sisters, Nancy Ann Hughes and Ida Jane Kindley, both of Thomasville; brothers, John Thomas Hughes and wife Donna and Richard Lee Hughes and wife Pat, all of Thomasville, and Jerry Wayne Hughes and wife Nancy of New Hope; and grandsons, Holden Hughes, Halden Hughes, and Hilden Hughes.

Walter Edgar Farlow Dies

Walter Edgar "Buster" Farlow, age 76, of Asheboro died Friday, October 24, 2014 at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. A memorial graveside service will be held Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 2:00 pm Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall. Native of Randolph County, son of Herman Edgar & Roella Hunt Farlow. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clarice Presnell Farlow. He is survived by his daughter, Katherine E. Johnson of Asheboro; sons, Jeffrey L Farlow of High Point, Walter Lee Farlow of Archdale, Richard A. Farlow of Trinity; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sisters, Margaret Butcher, Norma Jean Bowman, Becky Freeman all of Asheboro; brothers, Herman Harold Farlow of Sophia and Anthony Farlow of Asheboro. Michael Allen Kindley Dies

Michael Allen Kindley, age 61, of Randleman passed away Friday, Oct. 10, 2014 in Randolph Hospice House. Born July 31, 1953 in Randolph Co., he was preceded in death by his mother, Ora Mae Kindley and a step-son, Kevin Wayne Pankey. He was married to Cathey Martindale Kindley who survives of the home. Also surviving are one daughter, Ivy Kindley Lawson of Greensboro; five sisters, Peggy Smithwick and Betty James, both of Asheboro, Frances Moody Oney of Ft. Myers, FL, Wilma Kindley of Greensboro, NC and Ceila Redd of Lexington; one grandson and best friend, Cainan Gage Lawson. Mr. Kindley will be cremated and there will be a gathering of friends Thursday evening, Oct. 16, 2014 from 6 to 8 PM at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, NC.

Funeral will be 10 am Thursday at the Funeral Home with Interment at Wolfe Cemetery, Georgetown, Indian. Preceded in death by: Husband, Homer Briles; son Fred Briles. Survivors: Sons, James H. Briles of New Albany, Indiana, Paul R. Briles of Edwardsville, Indiana; Daughter JoAnn Briles of New Albany, Indiana; Sisters:  Gladys Gibson of Tennessee, Hester Greene of Tennessee  and 6 Grandchildren – Shelley, Laura, Ray, Bryan, Brent, Brad 5 Great Grandchildren & 1 Great Great Grandchildren.
