Ruby Gee Briles

Ruby Jean Briles (nee Gee), 89 of Parkersburg, WV, formerly of Michigan, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016. Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home from 11:30am-12:30pm on Saturday, October 15 at the Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home following visitation, at 12:30pm. Burial at Resthaven Memory Gardens. R Born on November 11, 1926 in Carrier Mills, IL; survived by her children Londa Foster (Charles) of Springfield, VA, Brenda Freeman (Daniel) of Toms River, NJ, and Johnny Briles (Joyce) of Parkersburg, WV; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband Jesse O. Briles (2015); her parents Ephraim and Beatrice Gee; her brother Jim Gee (2015); a grandchild; and a great-grandchild.

Leonard L. Hill Dies

TRINITY-Leonard L. Hill, 73, passed away on Sunday, October 16th, 2016. A service to celebrate Leonard’s life will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, October 20th, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Interment will follow in Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Military Rites accorded by the Randolph County Honor Guard. His family will receive friends on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Born on November 30, 1942 in Randolph County, son of the late Walter and Martha Crotts Hill.In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were a brother, Gilbert Hill and a sister, Hazel Crotts . Surviving; his wife of 32 years, Carol Rickard Hill; his daughters, Gina Wagoner and her husband Toby, Carla Turner, Heidi Kraft and her husband Andy, Holly Hill and her companion Chad Priddy; his brothers, Homer Hill, Lloyd Hill and his wife Bernice, J.D. Hill and his wife Tiney; his sisters, Maxine Coltrane and Elizabeth Enyart and her husband John. Betty Jean Skeen Hepler

Betty Jean Skeen Hepler, 87, of Thomasville, and formerly of Kennedy Rd. died Friday, October 14, 2016 at Thomasville Medical Center. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Dr. E. Keith Carroll officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday one hour prior to the service from 12:30 pm – 1:30 pm at the funeral home. Born on June 7, 1929 in Randolph County, NC to Cicero Skeen and Della Kinley Skeen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Reid Hepler on March 8, 2011; and her son, Tony Reid Hepler on October 18, 2008. Max J. Briles Dies.

MADISON -Max J. Briles passed Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016, in Madison, Wis., Max succumbed to complications of anorexia. Max will be remembered at a gathering on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2016, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the home of Greg and Leslie Kebbekus, 6008 Ridgewood Ave., Monona, WI 53716. There will be an opportunity to share thoughts and memories beginning at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Max's name to Rubin for Kids. Born Aug. 9, 1990 to David and Becky Briles who survive. He was preceded in death by his brother, Peter Zeno.

Tony Lee Parrish

Tony Lee Parrish, 53, of Asheboro, died Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at his home.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 14, 2016, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Gearren officiating. 
The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m., Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Ridge Funeral Home and other times at the home.

A native of Randolph County, Mr. Parrish was born October 30, 1962, the son of the late Vernon and Esther Parrish. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Boggs; and a son-in-law, Chad Howard.

Mr. Parrish is survived by his wife, Lou Parrish of the home;,daughters, Debbie Lou Parrish, Lisa Mae Zuniga and husband, Martin, all of Asheboro; son, Tony Wayne Parrish and wife, Vanessa of Asheboro; sisters, Judy Marion and Linda Dunn, both of Asheboro; brother, Johnny Parrish of Asheboro; grandchildren, Juanna Zuniga, Martin Zuniga, Alex Zuniga, Matthew Parrish, Ryan Parrish and Ansley Parrish.
