Peggy Parrish Boggs


Star - Peggy Parrish Boggs, 57, died Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at her residence.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 25, 2016, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chris Boyd officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM.

Mrs. Boggs was born in Davidson County to Vernon Ray and Esther McDowell Parrish. 

She is survived by her husband, Wade Boggs, of the home; sons, Ray Boggs (Danielle) of Star, Benjiman Boggs (Dana) of Star; brothers, Johnny Parrish of Asheboro, Tony Parrish (Lou) of Asheboro; sisters, Judy Marion of Asheboro, Linda Dunn of Asheboro; grandchildren, Becky, Amber, and Jayden Boggs.

Diane Apple Cook Dies

Diane Apple Cook age 56, of Denton passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 at her residence. Family will receive friends on Sunday at the church from 1:00 to 2:45 pm prior to the service. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, Jan. 10 at First United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Tammy Talbert and Rev. Sandy Young. Interment will follow at Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Born August 15, 1959 in Randolph County to Paul Edgar Apple and Colleen Snider Apple. In addition to her parents Diane was preceded in death by a brother, Stephen Thomas Apple. Surviving are sons, Chris and Danny Cook of Denton, sister, Paula Apple of Denton, brother, Neil Apple of Seagrove.
