Ferree Hunt Dies

Ferree Hunt, age 70, of Sophia, North Carolina, passed away at the Hospice House of Randolph County on March 28, 2017. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro, North Carolina. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00 am at the First Christian Church of Ramseur with the Rev. Garry Arnett and Rev. David Hunt. Interment will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro, NC. Born on July 31, 1946 to the late Ervin Ferree Hunt and Mary Bates Hunt. Survived by his wife, Sylvia Dianne Hunt, and son, Stephen Ferree Hunt of the home, and daughter, Selena Hunt Seay, son-in-law, Jonathan "John" Seay, two grandchildren, Jonathan "Tyler" Seay and "Michael" Shannon Seay of Coleridge, North Carolina. He also leaves behind his two sisters, Annie "Irene" Ritter and Patricia "Diane" Bray.

Marie Hoover Moran Dies

Marie Hoover Moran, 83, of Asheboro, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:45 p.m. Wednesday at West Bend United Methodist Church, prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter, Gail Rabb. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at West Bend United Methodist Church with Rev. Kari L. Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Moran was born March 3, 1934, the daughter of the late Moody and Vellie Hoover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wesley Moran; and niece, Rachel Leach. Mrs. Moran is survived by her daughters, Gail Moran Rabb (Harold) of Asheboro, Diane Moran Fowler (Scott) of Gastonia; son, Steve Moran (Angelia) of Gastonia;, brother, Wiley Hoover (Clara) of Seagrove; grandchildren, Kristina Robinson (Dale), Dana Sanders (Ben), Neil Rabb (Meaghan); great-grandchildren, Abigail, Gage, Coy, Alexis, Vernon, Kayla, Garrett, Kinsley, Chase; and nieces, Rebecca Mills and Rhonda Onken. Charles Floyd Miller Dies

Mr. Charles Floyd Miller, 71 of Trinity passed away Wednesday March 22, 2017 at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point. No formal visitation. A funeral service will be held Friday, March 24, 2017 at 4:30 PM at Hopewell United Methodist Church with Rev. Ashley Cyre officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born August 5, 1945 to the late William Virgil Miller and Effie Mae Floyd Miller in Davidson County. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Clinton Miller. Surviving is his loving wife Nancy Lee Miller of the home; one daughter Christy Beauchamp and husband Tim; one son Adam Charles Miller; four sisters Kathryn Robbins, Shirley Clark, Brenda Kennedy, Rachel Trexler; two grandchildren Logan and Haley Beauchamp.-JC Green & Sons.

Shirley Marie Beane Dies

Ms. Shirley Marie Beane age 61 of Denton, NC died Monday, March 13 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, March 17 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel conducted by Rev. Alvin Wooters. Burial will follow at the Beane Family Cemetery in Montgomery County, The family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home. Born August 15, 1955. in Randolph County to Edward Beane and Margaret Trotter Beane. She is survived by her mother, Margaret Beane of the home.

Mrs. Adrena Garner Gallimore, age 82, of Denton, NC passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 14 at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, with Rev. Brad Treece presiding. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM prior to the service at Piney Grove UMC. Born in Davidson County on January 26, 1935, she was the daughter of Melvin and Rona Pierce Garner. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Gallimore and a grandson, Yousef Metwally. Mrs. Josephine Trotter Hoover, age 82 of Asheboro, NC died Friday, March 10 at Hospice House of Randolph County. Private Burial will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday at Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will see friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton. Born July 23, 1934 in Randolph County to George Trotter and Moleta Small Trotter; was married to Dempsey Hoover who died in 1997. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother Clinton Trotter. She is survived by a sister Margaret T. Beane of Denton; and nieces, Shirley Beane and Michelle Trotter. Uavah Kindley York Dies

Mrs. Uavah Kindley York, 82, of Trinity passed away, March 7, 2017 at Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. All services will be private to the family. Born on December 11, 1934 in Randolph County to the late Zebulon Vance Kindley and Ola Roana Handcock Kindley. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Paul York who passed away in 2003. Surviving are three brothers, Ernest Kindley, Hubert Kindley, and Michael Kindley; two sisters, Jo Ann Loflin and Judy Kindley.
