Change in Policy

When the Briles Information Network first debut in 1996, it has always maintained the policy of publishing information regarding the living. Due to recent concerns about identity theft, the BIN has decided to refrain from publishing dates of birth for the living. The BIN will continue to publish the names of the living, but the date of birth will not be listed.

Housekeeping Items for May

The search engine for the BIN has been re-indexed. You should be able to search without any errors on the site. Remember, if you don't get a result from your search, it's not on the site. The May update for the databases has been delayed until later in the month. The May update for the databases has been delayed until later in the month. May is a very busy month for me and I hope to have it posted before June arrives. BIN Central has been placed on the back burner indefinitely. Designing this feature has been a "bear" and it's taking too much time. Don't plan on this feature until later in 2007. The death index is also being updated. I look for this to be ready in July. Last, but not least, I'm working on a new message board for the BIN. The board on Rootsweb.com has no activity and I believe a board that is housed here would be a great benefit to the site. If you have any suggestions for the site, please email me.
