Donald Lindsay Snyder passed away January 24, 2013. Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday January 27, 2013, at Floral Garden Memorial Park, in High Point, N.C. Born in Archdale, N.C., to the late Edward Lindsay Snyder and Bess Morgan Snyder on April 25, 1922. Preceding him in death are his wife, Bernice Shirey Snyder of Cumming, Ga., his brother Richard Snyder, of High Point, N.C., and a sister, Evelyn Travis, of New Orleans, La. Survived by his two children, Julia Lynne Snyder McCann and Donald Lindsay Snyder Jr. Julia and husband Mark reside in Newport. They have two sons, Joshua Clay McCann and wife Jennifer, of Bryan, Texas, and Zachary Morgan McCann, of Newport. Lindsay resides in Mocksville, N.C. Gene Tuney Jarrett, 82, of U.S. Highway 64 East, passed Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Wake Forest Baptist Health — Lexington Medical Center. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ; Rev. Darrell Sluder officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Born March 23, 1930, in Davidson County to Charles Dowey Jarrett and Ethel Hughes Jarrett Pierce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Jarrett; brothers C.J. Jarrett, Carson Jarrett and Wade Jarrett; and his stepfather, Gurney Pierce. THOMASVILLE-James Ray Faircloth, 88, passed away on Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at Thomasville Medical Center. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at Holly Hill Memorial Park with Rev. David Noyes officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville and other times at the home. Born on November 17, 1924, in Stanley County, the son of James Abraham Faircloth and Edith McDaniel Faircloth; preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Mary Frances Pierce. On September 4, 1943, he married Laurestine Byerly Faircloth and they were married for 60 years. She also preceded him in death on October 25, 2003. Surviving Mr. Faircloth are his two sons, Dale Ray Faircloth and wife Barbara Suggs Faircloth, and Mike S. Born in Davidson County, October 4, 1922 a daughter of Alonzo Clodfelter and Grace Clodfelter Clodfelter On August 8, 1944 she was married to Raymond Junior Hunt who died May 3, 1997. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, J. Van Clodfelter and Billy Clodfelter. Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Loretta Baker and her husband James of the home; three sisters, Olean Heter, Odessa Boles, and Suzanne Little and her husband Don, all of Thomasville. Pamala Lynn Mancillas, 48, passed away unexpectedly as a result of a car wreck on January 1, 2013. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, January 6th in Ponte Vedra Methodist Church of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL. Born in Portsmouth, VA on August 12, 1964 to the late Al Mancillas and Barbara Conklin. Survivors include her son, Joshua Craig Mancillas; brothers, Chuck Mancillas, and Ron Johnson (Sandy); sisters, Cynthia Jones (Jeff), Cathey Albertson (Keith), Paula Allen (Greg), and Penney Greene (Richard); grandchild, Rilyn Noelle; and many nieces and nephews. Born November 21, 1922 in Randolph County he is a son of the late Jonathan Monroe Spencer and Nannie Lee Poole Spencer. Survived by his wife of 65 years Arlene Spencer of the home and four children; Grayson Lee “Pete” Spencer, Jr , of Trinity, Vickie Spencer of Trinity, Betty Carter and husband Von of Trinity and Alice Scott and husband Tom of Conyers, GA.
