Hallie Hayworth Brower Passes

ARCHDALE-Hallie Hayworth Brower, 97, passed Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Pennybyrn at Maryfield. Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Springfield Friends Meeting; Rev. Ray Luther and Rev. Ralph Eanes officiating. Interment will follow in the meeting house cemetery. Born July 13, 1912 in Guilford County, daughter of the late John and Mary Hepler Hayworth. She is the sister to two Former Major League Baseball Players; the late Ray and Myron "Red" Hayworth. Preceded in death by her husband Albert Lee Brower on December 8, 1991 (m.April 22, 1935);three sisters, Regina Hayworth, Dovie Hayworth and Gertrude Macon, and five brothers, Henry Hayworth, Orvie Hayworth, Raymond Hayworth, Sr., Chester Hayworth, Sr., and Myron "Red" Hayworth, Sr. Survivors include her son, Donald L. Brower, Sr. and wife, Pat, of Archdale; her daughter, Mary B. Hamilton of Archdale; six grandchildren, Cindy Armfield and husband, Will, Donald L Brower, Jr. and wife, Vin, Allen L. Hamilton and wife, Karen, John D. Hamilton and wife, Tara, Mark E. Hamilton and wife, Carol, and Sandra H. Blackwell and husband, Billy; and eight great grandchildren, William Armfield, II, Dovie Ann Brower, Dillon Brower, Shane Hamilton, Claire Hamilton, Gage Hamilton, Cade Hamilton and Tanner Hamilton.-Cumby
