Iva Ruth Summey Kindley Passes

TRINITY — Mrs. Iva Ruth Summey Kindley, 84, passed Sept. 30, 2006, at her home. Funeral service was held on Oct. 3, 2006, at J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville; Rev. Stephen Stowe officiating. Burial was at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Born on Aug. 16, 1922, in Randolph County, to Samuel Lee Summey and Elsie Beatrice Briles Summey. Preceded in death by two sons, Don Kinley and Harold Kinley. On Aug. 8, 1940, she married Joseph Roosevelt Kindley, who survives of the home; also surviving are her children, Ruth Ann Kinney of Asheboro, Helen Shelley and her husband, Boyd, of Thomasville, Larry Kinley and his wife, Lynn, of Thomasville, James Kinley and his wife, Neta, of Denton, Winfred Kinley of Denton, Rebecca “Becky” Lanier and her husband, Jeff, of Denton, and Stephen Kinley of Trinity; two sisters, Catherine Hunt and Betty “Jane” Swaim, both of Trinity; 23 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.-JC Green
