Bruce Smith Crotts Dies

Bruce Crotts, 87, passed away today, Tuesday, June 14, 2011, at his home. Funeral will be 11:00 AM Friday at Mt. Tabor United Church of Christ in Lexington by Rev. Darrell Sluder. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Thursday at Davidson Funeral Home. Born April 28, 1924 in Davidson County to James C. Crotts and Clatie Smith Crotts. Preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Dermont Crotts, Olin Crotts, and John Crotts, sisters Verna Beck, Edith Hedrick and Carleen Allred. Survived by his wife, Doris Leonard Crotts of the home; daughters, Renee Thomas, and husband, David, and Pam Tesh, all of Lexington; grandchildren, Jason (Lesley) Thomas, Amy (Kevin) Osborne, and Rodney Thomas, all of Lexington, Erica Tesh of Port Orange, Florida, and Alex (Tabitha) Tesh; great-grandchildren, Cole and Gus York, Parker Thomas, Emma Grace Osborne, and Adler and Ashur Tesh; brothers, Hollis (Julia) Crotts, and Bobby (Della) Crotts, all of Lexington, and Druid (Sarah) Crotts of Washington; and sister, Patsy Ashby of Lexington.
