Max Hilman Nance Sr

TRINITY-Max Hilman Nance, Sr., 85, passed Sunday, February 7th, 2016. A service to celebrate Max’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016 at First Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Chris Thore, Reverend Dr. David Keith and Reverend David Emery officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Memorial Park cemetery. His family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 12, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale. Born in High Point on April 12th, 1930, to the late Norman and Hattie Jackson Nance. In addition to his parents, preceding him in death were his first wife, Love Hall Nance; his brothers, Shirley Nance and Reitzel Nance; his sisters, Veva Lewallen and Jewel Ridgeway. He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Lorene Corns Nance; his children, Max Nance, Jr., (Carolyn), Joy Haithcock (Randy), Norman Kirk Nance (Susan) and Chuck Nance (Melissa); sisters in- law, Peggy Nance and June Rickert.
