Doris Lucille Beck Nifong, age 87 passed Wednesday, Aug 29, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 2:00 PM in Faith Chapel with Rev. Patrick Davis officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will be at J. C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville Friday evening from 6 to 8 PM Born July 2, 1925 in Davidson Co. NC daughter of the late Ambrose Beck and Bessie Jeanetta Myers Beck.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Mark Nifong; six sisters, Loma Rothrock, Dovie Byerly, Ruby Sullivan, Mattie Rickard, Eula Mae Murphy and Hida Rea Tuttle; five brothers, Fred Beck, Olin Beck, Gilbert Beck, Roy Beck and Howard Beck. Surviving are, two daughters, Anita Nifong Rash and husband Gary of Thomasville and Gilda Nifong and husband Ramesh Mansukhani of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Evelyn Marion and husband Emmitt of Charlotte and Pearl Brinkley of Thomasville, NC; five grandchildren, Clint Reece of Charlotte, Shalene Reece of Boiling Spring Lakes, NC, Andy Nifong and wife Shannon of Easley, SC, Tommy Nifong and wife Ashley of Rock Hill, SC and Leah Rash of Thomasville; two great granddaughters, India Nifong and Olivia Nifong. Hida Rea Tuttle, age 88, passed away Friday, June 22, 2012 at her residence. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 4:00 PM in Emanuel Reformed Church Cemetery with Rev. Rickey Payne officiating. Born Aug 26, 1923 in Davidson Co., daughter of the late William Ambrose Beck and Bessie Myers Beck. She was married to Wilbur Tuttle who preceded her in death on June 29, 1982. Surviving are one daughter, Joyce M. Hughes and husband David of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Susan M. Hulin and husband Randy of Lexington and Kenneth Hughes of Thomasville; three great grandchildren, Brandi Hulin Leath and husband Jermey, Jason Hulin and Bradley Hulin all of Lexington; three sisters, Evelyn Marion and husband Emit of Charlotte, NC, Lucille Nifong and Pearl Brinkley both of Thomasville. Inez Parrish Bean Passes

Inez Parrish Bean, 90, passed Monday, June 4, 2012. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 6, 2012 in the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Clayton Stoneman and Rev. Darrell Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Westfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Trinity, NC. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 pm on Tuesday. Born to the late Oscar E. and Ida Lee Myers Parrish on January 10, 1922. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, a brother, Roy E. Parrish; sisters, Eva P. Freeman and Eutha P. Small; and a sister-in-law, Ehtel S. Parrish. On June 21, 1943 she was married to Paul Franklin Bean who predeceased her on February 17, 1963. Surviving is her daughter, Marsha Bean Hayduk of High Point; a sister, Ruby Parrish Loflin of High Point; a brother, Albert Parrish and his wife Alice of Trinity, NC and several nieces and nephews. John Henry Skeen Dies

John Henry Skeen, 93 of Trinity passed Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Hospice Home at High Point. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Trinity Memorial United Methodist Church with the Reverend Faye Herbin officiating. Interment will follow in Trinity Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale. Born May 5, 1918 in Trinity he is a son of the late Thomas Matthew Skeen and Angie Wall Skeen; preceded in death by his wife Nelva Myers Skeen in 2003. He is survived by four children: Nancy Reed of Thomasville, Hallie Jessup and husband Terry of Jamestown, Stanley Van Skeen and wife Cathy of Swannanoa and Emily Bish of Banner Elk. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Emily Hughes, Loretta Weese, Matthew Skeen, Lucy Skeen, Jennifer Dosher, Cade Jessup and six great grandchildren; Scott Loflin, Angel Weese, Mattison Skeen, Carter John Skeen, Will Dosher and Halle Claire Dosher and many loving nieces and nephews.
