Doris Loretta Hepler Duncan Passes

Doris Loretta Hepler Duncan, 90, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at her home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Gary Myers officiating. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.Born on March 1, 1922 in Davidson County to Albert Reid Hepler and Claudie Scarlett Hepler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Harold Wayne Duncan; brothers, Fred, Hollis, and Eugene Hepler; and sisters, Linda McGee and Edna Sowers. On May 18, 1940, she married Clinton Harden Duncan, who survives of the home; also surviving is her daughter, Carolyn Washam Hedrick and husband Van of Thomasville; son, Thomas Clinton Duncan of Thomasville; brother, Lloyd Hepler and wife Norma of Thomasville; sisters, Inez Swing and Clara Phillips and husband James, all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Steven C. Gallimore and wife Lorie, Edward C. Gallimore and wife Janet, Tracy Duncan and wife Tammy, and Sandra Young and husband John; 9 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren. Ruth Sharpe Phillips

Ruth Sharpe Phillips, 91, passed December 15, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Forsyth County. A celebration of her life will be held 3:00 PM Tuesday, December 18, 2012 at Beulah United Church of Christ in Welcome with the Rev. Michael Hooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in the Church Fellowship Hall before the service and burial will follow in the Beulah Cemetery. Born on March 26, 1921 to the late Overman Klutz Sharpe and Ola Arteal Hepler. Survived by her daughters, Donna K. Tesh (G. W.) of Lexington and Barbara K. Adams (Chuck) of Hickory N.C. She is also survived by two sisters Nell S. Clifton (George) of Thomasville, NC and Mary Jo Tysinger of Chapel Hill, N.C. In addition to her daughters, she is survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husbands Stokes S. Koontz and Kenneth Phillips; her son Dalton K. Koontz and a sister, Rita S. Curry. Kenneth Phillips children are Dianne Phillips Campbell of Lexington, James Kenneth Phillips (Janie) of Clemmons, Michael Ira Phillips (Gail) of Winston-Salem and Joseph Farabee Phillips (Karin) of Charlotte. Fred Reece Hepler Dies

THOMASVILLE- Fred Reese Hepler, 88, passed away November 29, 2012 at his residence. Family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 pm Monday, December 3, 2012 at Thomasville Funeral Home followed by a chapel service at 2:00 pm with Pastor Gary Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Born July 21, 1924 in Davidson County to the late Reid and Claudie Scarlett Hepler. Preceded in death by brothers, Hollis Hepler, Gene Hepler and Tony Hepler. Survived by a son, Wayne Hepler; brother, Loyd Hepler and wife Norma; sisters, Doris Duncan and husband Charden, Inez Swing and husband Claude and Clarice Phillips and husband James. Pauline Watford Martin Dies

Pauline Watford (Polly) Martin, 98 of Thomasville died Sunday November, 18, 2012 at Pine Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation. A celebration of life service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. David Bowman officiating. Born February 8, 1914 in Davidson County a daughter of the late John Ray Watford and Lillie Hepler Watford. She was married February 20, 1937 to Ben F. Martin who preceded her in death July 10, 2001. Also she was preceded in death by five brothers Carl, Austin, Jack, J.R. and S. C. Watford. Surviving are one daughter, Nancy M. Woods and husband Harold of Thomasville; one son, John A. Martin of Thomasville; one grandson, Rodger Woods and wife Patti of Harmony; two great-grandchildren Emily Woods and Joshua Woods. One brother, Roy Watford and wife Hannah of Thomasville; two nieces Danita Gordon (Mike) and Lorie Brooks (Danny) and two nephews, Gary Watford and Jeffrey Watford (Brenda). No direct line to Briles. Lonnie Rayvon Hepler Passes

Lonnie Rayvon Hepler, age 69, of Lexington passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital in Winston Salem. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday at Bethany United Methodist Church with Rev. David Talbert, Dr. Charles (Chuck) Hutchens, and Rev. Keith Carroll officiating.  Burial will follow in Bethany Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the church Sanctuary from 9:30 until 11:00 prior to the service. Born in Guilford County, NC September 18, 1943 to Ambrose Hepler and Eula Imbler Hepler. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Brenda Haywood Hepler, March 21, 2012. Surviving are: his daughters, Rachel Buchanan and husband Rich of Brooklyn, NY, Elisabeth Johnson and husband Tim of Lexington; grandchildren, Mitchell and Elisa Chandler of Lexington; step grandchildren, Nicole and Megan Johnson of Rock Hill, SC; step great-granddaughter, Kylie Ann Bolton of Rock Hill, SC; brother, Clayton Hepler and wife Margaret of Thomasville; sister-in-law, Gail Shinn and husband Michael of China Grove; nephews, Philip and Nathan Hepler of Thomasville, David Shinn of Matthews.

The family will receive friends at the Hepler home place 570 Paul’s Airport Rd. Thomasville, NC on Monday, October 22, 2012 beginning at noon. Born on September 15, 1956 in Davidson County to the late Walter Ray Hepler and Aline Swaney Hepler. Survived by his son, Michael Hepler of Greensboro; brothers, Kenneth Hepler (Sallie) of Thomasville and Thomas Hepler (Terri) of Raleigh; sister, Helen Harris of Thomasville; niece, Lisa Snyder (Michael) of Thomasville; nephews, Jason, Travis, and Josh Hepler of Raleigh. Maggie Jane Hepler Sink Passes

Maggie Jane Hepler Sink, passed at Hospice House of Davidson County on Saturday, June 16 at 11:30 PM. Celebration of her life will be Tuesday June 19, 2012 with visitation at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in the Sanctuary at 1:30 PM and the Memorial Service will follow at 3:00 PM, also in the sanctuary with Rev. Greg Dickens and Rev. Ardis D. Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Born April 1, 1920 to Allie Kennedy Hepler and Benjamin Lee Helper. On July 15, 1939 she married Charles Foy Sink. Survived by Charles Foy Sink, spouse of 73 years, daughters, Elaine (Mitchel) Rabon, Janice Sink, grandchildren, Brian (Donna) Rabon, Dedra (Mark) Owen, Benjamin Pressley, Alex (Kristina) Pressley, great grandchildren Finn, Allie and Colby Owen, sister, Ollie Satterfield, brother in law, Kester (Rosie) Sink, Ann Harvey, Steve Pressley and many special nieces and nephews and special friends. Preceded in death by a twin sister, Mary Lou, her parents, a brother Ambrose Hepler, sisters Anna Lee Hughes and Viola Turner.

Stokes Everett Hepler Jr. Dies Today

The BIN has learned of the passing of Stokes Everett "Sonny" Hepler Jr. who died today at his residence. Hepler is the son of the late Stokes Everett & Glady's Hooker Hepler and was married to Loucellier "Lou" Dossett Smith who survives. The BIN sends it condolences to the Hepler family.

Stokes Everett "Sonny" Hepler, Jr., 69, passed Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in the Forsyth Medical Center. A Memorial Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 1 P.M. in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Born June12, 1942 in Davidson County, a son of Stokes E. Hepler. Sr. and Gladys Hooker Hepler. On August 18, 1962 he was married to Lu Smith, who survives of the home. Also surviving are a son Bart Hepler of Thomasville; a brother, Randy H. Hepler and wife Anne of Thomasville; step-mother, Jewell K. Hepler of Thomasville; step-sister, Sherry Nealey of Thomasville; step-brother, Randy Rollins and wife Sandy of Thomasville; a niece, Christy Thomas and husband Kevin and a great-niece and a great-nephew. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be directed to Hospice of Davidson County in Lexington, N.C. J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home is assisting the family.
