Lisa Carol O’Bannon


 Lisa Carol O’Bannon (Briles) 63, of Graham passed away on Monday March 30th 2026 at 1:40 pm at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, Kentucky. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday April 11, 2026 from 10:00am until the time of the funeral at Gary’s Funeral Home. Services following at 12:00 pm with Pastor Stephen Russ officiating.

She was born in Greenville, Kentucky on November 13, 1962, daughter of the late Wilbert Briles and Evilee DeArmond Briles.

Preceded in death by her parents, husband Bobby O’Bannon and granddaughter Kennadie Lynne Lee.

Lisa is survived by her by three daughters Megan (Larry) Groves, Melanie O’Bannon, Brooklyn Parker. Two sons, Jeremiah (Taylor) O’Bannon, Blake Parker. Two grandchildren Sophia Lee and Lilith Groves. Sister Sarah Briles and brother Darrel (Paula) Briles.

Michael E. Farlow


Michael E. Farlow (99) passed away on March 16, 2026 at Brookdale Senior Living Solutions.

The visitation will be held at Marlboro Friends Meeting, on March 21, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 1:45 PM. The Funeral will follow from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Born on August 24, 1926, in Sophia, NC., one of six children born to Frank M. Farlow and Nora Stout Farlow. US Army Veteran. 
He is preceded in death by his wife of 72 years, Molly Ann Frye Farlow (m. July 31, 1948).

He is survived by daughters Martha Lewis (Charlie) and Dale Flinchum (Randy) of Asheboro, son Jonathan Farlow (Kathy) of Archdale, 6 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

Sybil Beatrice Kindley Pierce


Mrs. Sybil Beatrice Kindley Pierce, 87, of Trinity passed away Sunday night, March 15,2026 at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

Funeral services for Beatrice Pierce will be at 2:00 pm Friday, March 20, 2026, at Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Dale Brown and son Dale Russell. Visitation will be prior to the service from 12:45-1:45 at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her husband Roy Pierce. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Ray Kindley and 1 sister Darlene Smith.

Beatrice is survived by two sons, Dale Russell (Cheryl) of Trinity, Steve Russell (Debbie) of Trinity, and one daughter Nannette P. Wood of Thomasville and additionally six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She is also survived by five sisters, Nelia Ann Kennedy of Thomasville, Vonceal Bescher of Denton, Reba Grubb of Trinity, Wanda Teague of Thomasville and Jane Yates of Denton.

Amy Lynn Briles

Amy Lynn Briles, 69, of Asheboro, died Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Randolph Health in Asheboro.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Oaklawn Cemetery, with Rev. Robert Armstrong officiating.

Amy was born on January 2, 1957, in Randolph County, the daughter of the late Wayne Briles and Hilda Hill Briles. 

In addition to her parents, Amy was preceded in death by her many aunts and uncles, including Joyce "Flossie" Hill McGee (James).

She is survived by several cousins.

Kimberly “Kim” Michele Kindley Wolffis, age 56, of Asheboro passed away January 13, 2026. 

A memorial visitation will be held from 1 PM until 3 PM on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Midstate Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 304 Lanier Avenue, Asheboro, NC.

She was born July 3, 1969 in Randolph County, North Carolina the daughter of the late Larry Quinton Kindley and Sharleen Marie Ann Carroll Kindley. 

Surviving is her husband, Charles “Chuck” Wolffis; sons, Todd Wolffis and Troy Wolffis; sister, Lynnette Kindley and significant other Robert Coble; brother, Quinton Kindley and wife Jess Kindley; stepmother, Wally Kindley; nephew, Justin Kindley; niece, Jasmine Gaines; and numerous other beloved friends and family.

Kenneth William McCain, Sr.

Kenneth William McCain, Sr., age 86, of Oak Island passed away on January 11, 2026 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Bolivia.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 11:00 am at the Charlotte United Methodist Church Cemetery, 1182 Charlotte Church Road in Asheboro with Pastor Lee Carter officiating. The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.

Mr. McCain was born in Archdale on March 4, 1939 to Fred and Elizabeth Coletrain McCain. Veteran, US Air Force.

He is survived by his children, Kenneth William McCain, Jr. (Marijo) of Dayton, OH, Ann Saintilien of Denton, and Fred McCain (Karen) of Bloomington, IN; grandchildren, Logan, Tony, Tahesha, and Grayson; great grandchildren, Nevaeh and Zechariah; and his siblings, Jane Beeson (WS) of Sophia, Joe McCain of Sophia, Nancy Hinshaw, David McCain (Gayle) of Randleman, and Branson McCain of Sophia.
