Joseph "Joe" Walter Farlow, Jr., 90, of Trinity, died Friday, December 7, 2012, at High Point Regional. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 12th at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting with officiating ministers, Britt Groom, Brian Donley and Randy Quate. Burial will follow at the Meeting Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 11th, from 5:30 until 7:30 PM at Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale. Born in Randolph County, a son to the late Joseph Walter Farlow, Sr. and Edna Millicent Farlow Farlow. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Stanley, James and Roy Farlow, four sisters, Margaret F. Davis, Verda Farlow, Clarece Farlow and Martha F. Hodgin and one great grandson, Ryan Dickinson. On November 1, 1941 he married, the former Irene Spencer. Survived by his wife of 71 years, Irene Farlow of the home; four children, Sarah F. Dickinson and husband, Paul, of Lakeland, FL, Don Farlow and wife, Mary, of Trinity, NC, Lowell Farlow and wife, Molly, of Singapore and Carolyn F. Hines and husband, Al, of Boone, NC; six grandchildren, Amy D. Brown, Mark Dickinson, Catherine F. Teng, Anna F. Carper, Aaron Hines and Tim Hines; and nine great grandchildren.
