Betty Briles Yates Dies

Betty Briles Yates, age 70, of Trinity, NC (Jackson Creek Community), died Saturday, December 15 at her residence. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 18 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, conducted by Elder Johnny Ray Gardner. Burial will follow in the Pierce’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Briggs Funeral Home in Denton Born June 12, 1942 in Randolph County to the late Archie P. Briles and Lela Parrish Briles. Survived by her husband, Clyde R. Yates of the home; a daughter Debbie Small and husband Tommy Small of Asheboro; granddaughters, Dana Varner of Trinity and Trisha Small of Asheboro and a great grandchild, Madison Varner.
