Family will receive friends 3-5 p. m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Currie Funeral Home, Kilmarnock, VA. Services will be held at Quantico National Cemetery at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Ola Mae Smith Briles; sons, Ronald L. Briles, Jr. (Tracey) of SC; Jeremy Briles (Lindsey) of AZ; daughter, Lisa Briles of AZ; six grandchildren, Lindsay and Ronnie Briles of VA, Faith and Jazmyne Briles of AZ; Cameron and Dexter Wehrung of AZ; four great grandchildren, Brayden and Allison Briles of VA, Daniel Briles and Renner Woolery of AZ; two brothers, Robert Briles (Reaha) and Richard Briles (Mary Lou) of IA. He was known as Papa to all of his grandchildren and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
Born February 9, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa to the late Arthur D. Briles and Pauline Whisner Briles. Preceded in death by his brother, Roger D. Briles of IA.
