BIN Database Now on Family Search

The Briles Information Network database is now available on Family Search, genealogies section! Family Search is a wonderful site for research and you don't need an account to view the "genealogies" section of the site. Submitting your GEDCOM to "genealogies" obviously requires an account and other areas of Family Search you will need an account, but no worries it's all free!

Some folks get confused regarding the layout of Family Search so we want to give a "readers digest" explanation of the site. Family Search is broken down into two sections, genealogies and Family Tree. "Genealogies" is a database of user submitted personal family trees, lineages and other histories. Some information in this area can be erroneous and often lack reliable sources so be careful and always verify information with other, verified sources.

The other area for research, specifically, is Family Search Shared Tree. This section is brilliant because The FamilySearch shared tree uniquely strives to have just one public profile for every deceased person who has ever lived. To view this section of the site, you will need a free account.

The Briles Information Network highly recommends Family Search as a valuable research tool, but always verify verify verify before citing information for your database!

Note: Family Search is A service provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
