Virginia Lee Briles Gardner, 87, Hartford, died on December 19, 2016, at the Life Care Center in Burlington.
Memorial Services were held Monday, January 2, 2017, at the Hartford United Methodist Church. Inurnment followed in the Lena Valley Cemetery. Born on January 13, 1929, at Richter, Kansas, to
John Charles and Dessie Duvall Briles. On June 9, 1951, she married Daniel R. Gardner, who survives; preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Dorothy Apgar and Beth Gentry, and a grandson. Also survived by four sons, George (Sharon) Gardner, St. George, Fred (Jackie) Gardner, Garnett, David (Nancy) Gardner, Newton, Vernon Gardner, Luellen, NE, two daughters, Mary Hoover, Lyons, and Elizabeth (Kevin) Fox, Syracuse, a sister, Beverly Swenson, Broomfield, CO, 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
