Clara Hepler Proctor Phillips, 84, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Feb. 22, 2017 at Thomasville Medical Center. A celebration of Clara's life will be held at 2 pm Saturday, February 25, 2017 in the chapel of Thomasville Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. E. Keith Carroll and Rev. Wilson Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Born on September 26, 1932 in Davidson County to the late Thomas Reid and Claudie Scarlett Hepler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Lee Proctor and James Ransler Phillips, two sisters and three brothers. Surviving are children, Tonya Owens and husband Tony and Chris Proctor and wife Beverly, both of Thomasville; step children, Bob Phillips and wife Becky of High Point, Patti Halsey and husband Mark of Thomasville, Terri Russo of Thomasville, and Sharon Craver of Greenville, SC; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; sister, Inez Swing of Lexington; and brother, Lloyd Helper and wife Norma of Thomasville.
