Ola Laughlin Johnson Passes

RANDLEMAN — Ola Laughlin Johnson, 86, of Randleman, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, at Loflin Funeral Home Chapel, Ramseur. Officiating will be the Rev. Bruce Johnson and the Rev. Wayne Pugh. Burial will follow at Pleasant Cross Christian Church, Asheboro. Native of Randolph County, She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Johnson; her parents, Shelley and Mattie Wright Laughlin; brothers, Grady Laughlin, Worth Laughlin, Leslie Laughlin; and sisters, Beulah Gray and Aretta Hill. Survivors include daughters, Becky Pugh and husband, Rev. Wayne of Sophia, Carla Hazelwood of Randleman; sons, Roy Johnson and wife, Stephanie of Asheboro, Rev. Bruce Johnson and wife, Joyce, Carlton Johnson and wife, Shelia, David Johnson and wife, Sherry, all of Randleman; sisters, Nelia Craven of Asheboro, Leona Cox of Randleman; brother, Carl Laughlin and wife Juanita of Randleman; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
