Johnsie Pierce Brantley, age 66, of Asheboro died Monday, April 7, 2014 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, Winston- Salem. Family will receive friends Friday, April 11, 2014 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro, NC. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Shook and Pastor Jim Pearman officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery. Born September 3, 1947 in Asheboro to John and Golda Pierce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tony Brantley and sister, Gail P. Connor. Survived by son, Rob Brantley and wife Jennifer of Lexington; daughter, Jami Moffitt and husband Gary of High Point; grandchildren, Zeke Brantley , who called her "B" and Avery Lindley; sisters, Sharon Pierce of Asheboro, Janet Wilson and husband Rick of Durham, niece, Erin Connor of Greenville, SC; special friend, Lisa Willard.
