Mary Frances Houghlin Briles Dies

Mary Frances Briles, 74, of Corydon, passed Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. Funeral services were Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon. Glenn Hughes and Brother Vince Garmon officiated. Burial was in Potato Run Cemetery near Corydon. Born September 5, 1937, in Louisville, to the late James Edward and Mary Buelah Mattingly Houghlin. Preceded in death by her husband, Vernon R. Briles and her brother, Jim Houghlin. Survivors include her son, Daniel Briles of Corydon; her daughters, Anna Kinker of Elizabeth, Cindy Novak of Marengo and Rebecca Hughes of Corydon; her brother, Pat Houghlin of Borden; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
