Helen Johnson Kennedy Dies

Helen Johnson Kennedy, passed Friday evening, June 22, 2012 at her residence. Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11 A.M. in Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen White officiating. Born April 10, 1927 in Davidson County, a daughter of Thomas Filmore Johnson and Edna Ritchie Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Johnson Green and a brother Ira Thomas Johnson. On November 19, 1949 she was married to F. Stuart Kennedy, who survives of the home. Also surviving are two daughters, Marcia Kennedy of Thomasville and Kim Kelly and her husband J.B. of Apex; a son, Harold Stuart Kennedy and wife Valerie of Thomasville; brothers, James Johnson and wife Alliene of Burlington and Robert Johnson of Thomasville; and her grandchildren, Nicole Scott, Adrien Michelle Kennedy, Thomas Weston Hawkins, Caitlin Kennedy Kelly and Alexander Stuart Kennedy. Dorothy Johnson "Dot" Green Passes

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Dorothy Johnson "Dot" Green of Gainesville, FL passed Wednesday, January 18, 2012 after a long illness. A memorial service will be held in Thomasville, NC at a later date. Preceded in death by her parents Thomas Filmore and Edna Ritchie Johnson; her husband William Tate "Bill" Green who passed in 1995. Mrs. Green is survived by her sister and brothers: Helen Kennedy and Robert Johnson of Thomasville, NC, and Jim Johnson of Burlington, NC; 4 children: William T. Green 3rd of Houston, TX, Betsy Coleman, Barbara Finlayson, and Bruce Green of Gainesville, FL. Daughter-in-law Susan Green of Houston, TX, and sons-in-law Randy Coleman and Eddie Finlayson of Gainesville, FL. Also, 6 granddaughters, Chrystie Burt, Marianne Robak, and Susan Brooks of Houston, TX, Melanie Coleman of Bentonville, AR, Rebecca Feather of Orlando, FL, and Katie Feather of Gainesville, FL. And 3 great grandchildren.

Clayton Wayne Hunt Dies

Clayton Wayne Hunt, 52, passed away December 31, 2011 in Davidson County, NC while cutting down trees. The tree fell on the tractor he was operating. Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville, NC; Rev. Gary D. Blakely officiating. Mr. Hunt is the son of the late Roby Lee and Majorie Johnson Hunt. Surviving: wife Rosie, children Cody and Maggie. His daughters by marriage, Lisa, Tammy, Susan and Priscilla; ten grandchildren, siblings, Paul, Donna, Richard, Marvin and Sherrill.
