Hazel Dorsett Davis 85, died Sunday in the Universal Health Care in Ramseur. Funeral Services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church in Trinity by the Rev. James Bowen. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dwight Walker, Jack Blevin, Jack Hughes, Jim Davis, Kermit Pierce and Russell Draughn. Born June l7, l927 in Randolph County a daughter of Truman and Florence Farlow Dorsett. She was married to Frank Monroe Davis Jr. who preceded her in death. Surviving are l son; Steven Davis and wife Jill of 4149 Craven Pine Rd. Sophia; l Sister; Mrs. Gladys Hill and husband Kenneth of Burlington; 2 Grandchildren; Josh Davis and wife Brandy and Meredith Brust and husband Mike; 3 Great Grandchildren Kate Elizabeth and Carter Michael Brust and Jillian Lane Davis.

Carlene Elizabeth Lamb, age 81, of Asheboro died Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Randolph Hospital. F amily will receive friends on Saturday, October 6, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 7, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church in Asheboro with Dr. Terry L. Matthews and Dr. Mark J. Key officiating. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Born in Randolph County on April 24, 1931 to Howard and Hazel Davis Miller, who preceded her in death. Survived by her husband of 65 Years, Frank Lamb; sons, Kevin Lamb and his wife Charlene of Trinity, Norman Lamb and his wife Jane of High Point, Kyle Lamb and his wife Jeanne of Asheboro; daughter, Kerri Lamb of Asheboro; grandchildren, Joe Lamb and his wife Carla of Asheboro, Mark Lamb and his wife Jenny of Randleman, Will Lamb of Durham, Reba Lamb of Greensboro, Krystal Lamb of Trinity; great grandchild, Carson Joseph Lamb of Asheboro; brother, Steve Miller and his wife Becky of Asheboro; sisters, Diane Hayes and her husband Steve of Winston-Salem; Zelma Reeder of Asheboro, Phyllis Lewallen of Asheboro; and beloved pets, Sydney and Barley. Ben Howard Davis, 80, of Asheboro, NC, passed Monday, July 30, 2012, at Randolph Hospital. Funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 am Wednesday, August 1, 2012, in the Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro. Native of Randolph County, NC, born August 3, 1931. He was the son of the late Robert Lester Davis and Elbie Florence Kearns Davis. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wade Davis and sister, Edna Davis. Survived by his wife, Rozine Hurley Davis, of the home; daughters, Denise Beane Williams, of Asheboro, NC, Ginger D. McClellan, of Dale City, VA; grandchildren, Jeremy Beane and wife, Tonya, Melissa Johnson and husband, Keith; great grandchildren, Amber Johnson, Levi Johnson, Bethany Beane, and Lydia Beane.
