Nellie Lois Parrish Bailey

Mrs. Nellie Lois Parrish Bailey, age 90, of Thomasville, NC passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County.  

A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024 at 12:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Dr. E. Keith Carroll officiating.  Interment will follow in Heath Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday prior to the service at the funeral home from 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM. 

Born, October 6, 1933 to the late Howard and Bessie Cody Parrish. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ricky Aderhold; her brothers, Alton, Austin, and Bruce Parrish; and her sisters, Marie Embler and Virgie Kennedy.

On November 30, 1973, she married Oscar Bailey, Jr., who survives of the home; also surviving in addition to her husband of 50 years, is her son, Evan Aderhold; step-daughter, Abby Browe (Ricky); grandson, Forest Aderhold; granddaughters, Shiloh Holley (Mike), Bethany Vigilante (Blaine), and Tiffany Parrish (Derrick); great-grandchildren, Penelope (Nell) Holley and Daeson Gaines; and special nieces.

Frances Evelyn Carrick Anderson


Frances Evelyn Carrick Anderson, 82, of Randleman, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Asheboro Rehab and Health Care Center in Asheboro.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 3, 2023, at Oaklawn Cemetery, Asheboro, with Pastor Jim Honeycutt officiating. The family will receive friends at the home of Kathy and Jamie Hayes.

Born November 5, 1940, in Davidson Co., NC, Mrs. Anderson was the daughter of the late Milas and Flora Pierce Carrick. 

In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Anderson, daughter, Patricia Kidd, and son, Clifford Hunt.

Mrs. Anderson is survived by her daughters, Janet Allamadani of Greensboro, Susan Tysinger of Randleman, Kathy Hayes (Jamie) of Randleman; brother, Bryce Carrick of Asheboro; 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; and her beloved pet, Lucy.

Mrs. Anderson's great grandmother is Charity Briles Pierce.

Virgie Lee Parrish Kennedy


Virgie Lee Parrish Kennedy, age 85, of Thomasville, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2022. 

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 10am at Sechrest-Davis Funerals of Thomasville; Pastor Michael Bowers officiating. Visitation will take place 1 hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.

Virgie was born October 7, 1936 in Thomasville, NC to the late Howard and Bessie Cody Parrish.

Virgie is preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Albert Ephraim Hayes, Jr.; second husband, Lee Byrd Kennedy; her son, Ronnie Leon Hayes; three brothers, Alton, Austin and Bruce Parrish; and sister, Marie Embler.

Virgie is survived by her daughters, Carol Dianne Workman (Rickie) and Barbara Ann Kuykendall (Daniel); four grandchildren, Christopher Beal, Stacey Simmons, Shannon Hayes and Michelle Miller; eleven great grandchildren; sister, Lois Bailey (Oscar, Jr.); and her beloved animal companion, Beast.

Doris “Evelyn” Parrish Clark

Doris “Evelyn” Parrish Clark, 88, of Archdale passed Friday, October 1, 2021.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11 AM at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point with Rev. Tommy Kidd officiating. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery. There will be no formal viewing or visitation.

Born August 10, 1933 to the late William and Annie Clodfelter Parrish in Davidson County.  In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Alvin Burton Clark in 2018; four brothers, Brown, Oscar, Dugan, Reece Parrish.

Surviving are her two children; Terry Clark of Linwood, Sylvia Mounce (Keith) of Sophia; four grandchildren, Michael Lowe (Lori) of Thomasville, Terry Clark (Jessica) of Pfafftown, Kevin Lowe of Trinity, Sonya Clark of Fayetteville; eleven great-grandchildren, and five great-great grandchildren.

Douglas “Doug” Eugene Parrish

Douglas “Doug” Eugene Parrish, 56, of Thomasville passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020 at Thomasville Medical Center. There will be no formal services for Mr. Parrish.

Born on May 6, 1963 to the late Dugan Eugene Parrish and Carol Ivey Haney Parrish.

 Doug is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Gonzalez and husband Chris of High Point; a grandson, Tobias “Toby” Gonzalez of High Point; and one sister, Connie Louise Parrish of Thomasville.

Hazel Carrick Caldwell Dies, GGrandmother is Charity Briles

Hazel Ruth Carrick Caldwell, age 85, of Randleman died Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Randolph Hospice House, Asheboro. The family will receive friends Monday, May 22, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 100 North Main Street, Randleman with Rev. Chris Heppding and Rev. Kenneth Reaves officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park, Asheboro. Born October 10, 1931 the daughter of Milas and Flora Pierce Carrick. Native of Davidson County, in addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Weaver and Leroy Caldwell. She is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Parrish and husband Mike of Randleman; sister: Frances Anderson of Randleman; brother: Bryce Carrick and wife Thelma of Asheboro; grandchildren, Tammy Lamb and husband Kyle, Mike Parrrish, Jr, and Dennis Caldwell and wife Lynda all of Randleman; 5 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Justin Thomas Parrish Passes at Baptist Hospital

Justin Thomas Parrish, 23, of Denton, died Saturday, August 3, 2013 in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 4 P.M. in Cid United Methodist Church with Rev. Sandy Young and Rev. Robert Hedrick officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. J.C. Green & Sons is assisting the family. Born February 19, 1990 in Guilford County a son of Phil Steven Parrish and Pamela Kearns Parrish. He was preceded in death by a brother, Baby Michael. On March 12, 2010 he was married to Shannon Hedrick, who survives of the home. Also surviving are his parents, Pamela “Pam” Parrish and Steven “Steve” Parrish, both of Thomasville; a daughter, Keely Parrish of the home; son, Ryan Parrish of the home; step-daughter, Hannah Stacy of the home; step-sons, Jordan Stacy and Skylar Stacy of Archdale; sisters, Alysha Parrish of Lexington and Gracie Parrish of Thomasville; brothers, Michael Parrish and wife Kerry of Troy, Xzavier Parrish and Landon Parrish, both of Thomasville; maternal grandmother, Jane Edwards of High Point.
