Willa Dean Snider Cagle
DENTON — Willa Dean Snider Cagle, 88, of Denton, passed Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at her residence. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Gravel Hill Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Danny Hosler and the Rev. Gerald Ward. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will see friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Briggs Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Born Aug. 13, 1924, in Randolph County to Clyde Snider and Hazel Latham Snider. Preceded in death by her parents; by a son, Nathan Cagle; brothers, Ralph Snider and Burrell Snider; and a sister, Eddith Gallimore. Survived by her husband of 69 years, Paul Cagle, of the home; daughters, Geraldean Varner and Joyce McDowell, both of Asheboro; brothers, Richard Snider and wife, Judy, of Denton, Raeford Snider and wife, Jenny, of Asheboro; sisters, Susie Cook, of Fort Mill, S.C. and Nancy Skeen and husband, Donald, of Denton; and grandchildren, Vickie Massingale, Dale Cagle, Darrell Cagle, Dennis Varner, Shelia Lynch, Greg Varner and Sherry Johnson; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Cagle; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Nancy Rush Cagle Dies
Nancy Rush Cagle, 91, passed Sunday, May 27, 2012 at Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro. Funeral Services, 2 pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Union Grove Christian Church, Asheboro; Dr. Julius Lambeth officiating. Wake: Visitation, 7 pm to 9 pm, Tuesday, Loflin Funeral Home, Ramseur, Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Daughter of the late Jessie Warren & Sarah Henley Rush; born November 13, 1920, and graduated from Farmer High School in 1938. She was a native of Randolph County, retired from Acme-McCrary Hosiery. Preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Edward F. Cagle, her son, Charles W. Cagle, and by six brothers Jim, George, Richard, Ernest, Glenn, Zeb, and three sisters, Effie Winfrey, Jessie Branch, and Mary Ann Russell. Survivors: daughter, Hilda Sloat Harden, and husband, Bennie, of Coleridge, brothers, Robert Rush, and wife, Violet, Asheboro, Alson Rush, of Lexington , daughter-in-law, Diane Cagle Powers, and husband, Johnnie, of Coleridge, grandchildren, Craig Cagle (Tracey), Elizabeth "Betsy" Messick (Mike), and Angela Sloat Gunter, great grandchildren, Tiffany Ellis, Joshua Cagle, Jessica Messick and Jacob Messick, three great great grandchildren, and two step great great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews
