Nancy Lucille Lanier Pierce, 90, passed Tuesday, March 5, 2013 at Mountain Vista Health Park.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 2:00 PM at
Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Derald Smith and Rev.
James Cooper officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 at the
church. Born on April 1, 1922 in Davidson County to Stephen Ashley Lanier
and Celina Morris Lanier. In addition to her
parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Hal Pierce in
June 1998; a son, Larry Pierce in June 1999; a daughter, Jan Nadine
Pierce; a grandson, Johnny Pierce in August 2002; a granddaughter, Jamie
Lucinda Pierce; brothers, Ernest, Max, and Bob Lanier; and sisters,
Alta Miller and Grace Harrison.
Surviving is her son, Bobby Pierce and wife Martha of Thomasville; two
grandchildren, Vonda Byerly and husband Brent and Kim Eason and husband
Brian; and great-grandchildren, Brittany Pierce, Ashley Pierce Snowdon,
Caylin Byerly, Jacob Byerly, Austin Eason, and Brandon Eason.
