Edna Pearce Heath Dies

Edna Pearce Heath, age 96, of Carolina Estates in Greensboro died Thursday, March 14, 2013 at her home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 3:00 pm at Balfour Baptist Church; Rev. Don Clement and Rev. Kenneth L. Reaves officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery in Asheboro. Born in Randolph County on September 19, 1916 to John C. Pearce and Annie Bulla Pearce. Edna and husband Ross Elzy Heath, Jr. were married in 1939. In addition to her parents of Asheboro, Edna was predeceased by her husband Ross of Greensboro, son Michael Heath of King George, VA, brother John Pearce of Asheboro, and sisters Margaret Moody and Frances Burkhart both of Asheboro.  Survived by one son, John R. Heath and Eleanor of Jackson, NJ; grandchildren, Heather Heath of Cary, NC, Ian and Sarah Heath of Idaho, and Melane Heath Canupp and Brooke Canupp of Greensboro, NC; daughter-in-law, Jane Heath of King George, VA; grandchildren, Sherry Heath Mills and Nelson Mills of King George, VA, April Heath Parsons and Kevin Parsons of Richmond, VA, and Shannon and Suzi Heath of Virginia; 11 great grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucy P. Parrish of Greensboro, NC, and Bonnie P. Davenport of Asheboro, NC
