Marianne Morris Briles Dies

Fowlerton, IN – Marianne Briles, 82, passed Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Friday, March 30, 2012 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel, 400 E. Main Street, Gas City, Indiana. Funeral Service will be at 1 pm on Saturday March 31, 2012 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service in Gas City, Indiana with Reverend Mick Simpkins officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Fairmount, Indiana. Born in Gas City, Indiana on October 2, 1929 to the late Thomas Marshall and Ethel (Benbow) Morris. She married William L. Briles on March 16, 1947, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 2000. Survivors include children, Karen (Richard) Mullenix, Fowlerton, Pamela Lighthall, Merritt, FL, Wanda (Mike) Daugherty, Hartford City, William (Mary) Briles, Mosheim, TN, and Jill (Mike) Gray, Lapel; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; siblings, Jackie Russell, Lake George, FL, Ruth (Ted) Cook, Gas City, Helen Stevens, Gas City, Richard (Norma) Morris, Matthews, Jerry (Rita) Morris, Texas, Cathy Morris, Gas City, and Marsha (Jerry) White, Lafontaine. Preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Ethel Morris; husband, William Briles; son, Chris Briles; and brother, Harold Morris.
