Dougan Clark “D.C.” Poole, Jr. Passes

Dougan Clark “D.C.” Poole, Jr., 93, of Asheboro, NC, passed Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Randolph Health & Rehabilitation. Funeral service is scheduled for 4:00 pm Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Tim Pheagin officiating. Burial will follow at West Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Asheboro. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm Friday, March 9, 2012, at Ridge Funeral Home. Native of Randolph County, NC, born September 13, 1918. He was the son of the late Dougan Clark Poole, Sr., and Dovie Miranda Pierce Poole. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by loving wife, Thelma Poole, and his sisters, Nannie Skeen, Lula Coltrane, Clyde Trotter, Mettie Lovell, Ione James and Bernice Maness. Survived by his daughters, Patsy Skeen and husband, Wayne, of Greensboro, NC, Judy Cox and husband, Gary, of Ramseur, NC; grandchildren, Crissy King, Eric Skeen, Jennifer Schwarz, Kevin Cox, Jody Cox; great grandchildren, Brittany Shropshire, Kyle Skeen, Jordan Ellis, Emily Ellis, Molly Ellis, Eli Schwarz, Isacc Schwarz, Ari Schwarz, Cameron Cox, Christian Cox; one step great grandchild, Chelsea Ford; two great-great grandchildren, Luke Shropshire and Bryce Shropshire.
