Carl Van Pierce Dies

Carl Van Pierce, 74, passed on January 16, 2011 at the Hospice House in High Point.Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Poplar Ridge Friends Meeting; Reverend Randy Quate officiating. Interment will follow in the Meeting cemetery. Born on August 22, 1936 in Randolph County, the son of the late Harvey Allen and Tressie Robbins Pierce.; preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. Survived by his daughter Terri Pierce, and sons Van Pierce, Jr and wife Paige, Jack Pierce and Scotty Pierce; eight grandchildren, Dana Pierce, Jaclyn Pierce, Brittany Pierce, Ashley Pierce, Hayley Pierce, Scotty Pierce, Jr., Mackenzie Pierce, Nora Lee Myers and her husband Paul, Inez Biggerstaff and Peggy Pugh and her husband Arnold; brothers, the Reverend Barney Pierce and Austin Pierce
