Iris Leonard Queen Dies

LEXINGTON-Iris Leonard Queen, age 86 passed Saturday, May 15 at Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. Funeral service was at 3:00 PM Tuesday, May 18 at Piedmont Funeral Home Chapel; Rev. Tommy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hill Memorial Park. Born August 5, 1923 in Davidson County to Ira Odell Leonard and Hallie Marie Tysinger Leonard. Preceded in death by her husband Richard Murphy Queen who died November 19, 2004. Survived by a daughter Rosalind "Lindy" Queen of the home; a sister Bonnie Smith and husband Charles of Lexington and several nieces and nephews.
