Clarence Kent Ridge Dies

Clarence Kent Ridge, 73, resident of the Jackson Creek community, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 23, 2012, at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 pm Monday, November 26, 2012, at Pleasant Union Community Church with Rev. Danny Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Tabor Memorial Chapel Cemetery. Born on December 30, 1938, the only child of Clarence C. and Carrie Royals Ridge. Survived by his wife of 54 years, Carroll Voncannon Ridge, of the home; daughters, Sharon R. Hughes and husband, Jeff, Rhonda R. Maness and husband, John, Deanna R. Parks and husband, Kevin, all of Jackson Creek. His pride and joy were his four grandchildren, Leah and Hannah Hughes, and Kelly and Carson Maness. No direct line to Briles.

Harold Dewayne Hunt, age 74, of Asheboro passed Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at his home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Landmark Baptist Church; Rev. Frank Barrett officiating. Family will receive friends on Friday, June 22, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home in Asheboro, NC. Burial will follow in Randolph Memorial Park. Born in Randolph County on January 2, 1938 to Henry Mood and Mattie Ridge Hunt. Survived by his wife of 56 years, Faye Garner Hunt; granddaughter, Amber Cox; and sister, Marie Aum of Denton, NC.
