Mary Pierce Hughes, age 68 ofDenton, NC died Saturday, July 19 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. A funeral service will be held AT 2:00 pm Thursday, July 24 at Briggs
Funeral Home Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow at Siloam United
Methodist Church Cemetery. Family will see friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Briggs
Funeral Home in Denton. Born April 24, 1946 in Forsyth County to Royce Reece
Pierce and Millie Frances Barnes Pierce. She was a retired employee of
Teleflex Company. She was married to Felix Hughes, Jr. who died in
1993. Survived by a daughter Lora Hughes of Denton; a son Ronnie Hughes
of Asheboro; brothers, Charles Pierce and Dolan Pierce both of
Thomasville; a sister, Louise Elberson of Thomasville; grandchildren,
Dustin Wayne Bailey and Justina Lynn Hughes; great grandchildren, Bladyn
Ray Bailey and Xander Felix Gage Bailey.
