Zella Alreta Snider Hulin, age 78, of Lexington passed Sunday, August 26 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Funeral service for will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ray Swaney officiating. Burial will follow in Tom’s Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday at Briggs Funeral Home. Born July 31, 1934 in Davidson County to Solomon Earl and Lillian Shutt Snider who preceded her in death. Also preceded in death by a sister, Zenda Lee Hedrick, brother, Thurman Snider and grandson Darin Guevara. Survived by her husband, Clayton Hulin of the home, one son, Harold Hulin and wife Debra of Lexington, daughters, Shelia Bess of Lexington and Pat Guevara and husband Victor of San Antonio, TX, brother, Leon Snider of Denton, sister, Vernelle Greene of Linwood, grandchildren Nathan Bess, Crystal Severt, Brandon Guevara, Jason Hulin, and Victor L. Guevara II and great-grandchildren Hunter Tyler, Corbin, Kayle, Branson, Brayden, Dominic, and Chase No direct Briles line

Sylvia Christine Hooks Hulin Passes

Sylvia Christine Hooks Hulin, 74, passed died Thursday, January 26, 2012 at the Hospice Home at High Point. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Myra Ward and Rev. Jack Rose officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion UMC Cemetery. Born on January 25, 1938 in Davidson County to the late Lamont Hooks and Sylvia Sieglar Hooks; preceded in death by a daughter, Janice Hulin Jarrett, one brother, and one sister. On July 4, 1954, she married James Junior Hulin, who survives of the home; also surviving are three daughters, Carolyn Curry and husband Marvin of Trinity, Jamie Tucker and husband Lloyd of Thomasville, and Cindy Rose and husband Joey of Archdale; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Her husband's line is via his mother, Nellie Loflin Hulin, to Mamie Briles Hulin, all the way to Conrad & Margaret Rush Briles.
