Betty Lou Robbins Ogle


Betty Lou Robbins Ogle, 89, of Randleman passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at Westwood Health and Rehabilitation.

There will be a Graveside service Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Whitehall Community Church with Reverend Harold Thompson officiating.

She was born on November 16, 1935 in High Point, NC to Irvin Daniel Robbins and Alma Louise Bridges Robbins.

Ola Mae Gregson Brown

Ola Mae Gregson Brown passed away November 28, 2023.
 
A private family graveside service will be held December 9, 2023 at Providence Cemetery in Randolph County, NC.

Born to Hubert C and Hazel R (Barker) Gregson in Randolph Co., NC. She married Edward A Brown on August 22, 1950 in Conway, SC. Mr. Brown passed 4 Jul 2021

She is survived by her two children; Steve (Lynn) Brown and Lynette (John) Hudspeth; a brother, Clayton (Rebecca) Gregson; a sister, Marie Shoe; in-laws, Annie Lou Gregson, Charles Fields, and Elvin Gregson; two grandchildren, Carly (Hank) Howie and Mitchell Brown; two great-grandchildren, Houston and Kathryn Howie.

Mrs. Brown's great grandmother is Hollen Briles Gregson.

Helen Gregson Dies

Helen Gregson passed at Morningside of Raleigh on August 28, 2022. Interment will be at Randolph Memorial Park. Per Helen’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.

 She was born April 26,1939 in Randolph Co., NC to Hubert and Hazel (nee Barker) Gregson. She was the 11th of their 12 children.

Married to John G Miller. They were married from 1963-1970.

Surviving are brother Clayton Gregson and wife, Rebecca; sisters Ola Brown and Marie Shoe; brother-in-law Charles Fields, and sisters-in-law Annie Lou and Elvin Gregson, nieces and nephews.

Ms. Gregson's great grandmother is Hollen Briles Gregson

Thomas “Tommy” Marshall Gregson

Thomas “Tommy” Marshall Gregson, passed on Tuesday April 27, 2021 at Westchester Manor.

The family will receive friends on Sunday May 2, 2021 from 12:30pm until 1:45pm at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point. A celebration of Tommy’s life will be held on Sunday May 2, 2021 at 2:00pm at the funeral home, with Reverend Chris Thore and Reverend Chan Shaver officiating. Interment will follow services at Floral Garden Park Cemetery in High Point.

He was born in 1931 in Randolph County to the late Cletis (Barker) and Alfred Briles Gregson. He was married to Nellie “Rachel” Neill for 63 years. In addition to his parents, Tommy is preceded in death by two brothers: Norman and Allen Gregson.
 
He is survived by his loving daughter, Lori Coe and her husband Brian of Wallburg, NC, his only grandchild: David Marshall Joseph Coe, a brother: Larry and wife Shelia Gregson of Julian, NC, a sister-in-law: Sue Gregson of Randlemen, NC, two nephews: Dwight and Dwayne Gregson and many extended family and friends.

Mr. Gregson’s great grandmother is Hollen Briles Gregson.

Rev. Aaron Arnold Robbins

RANDLEMAN; Rev. Aaron Arnold Robbins, age 76, of Randleman died Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 1:30-3:30 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC. The funeral service will follow at 4:00 pm at Whitehall Evangelical Methodist Church, 3335 Wesleyan Rd., Randleman with Rev. Harold Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born June 17, 1943 the son of Irvin and Alma Bridges Robbins.Aaron was a native of Randolph County. In addition to his parents, Aaron is preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Jester Robbins; children: Martha Robbins, Arnold Robbins and Ginger Robbins; sisters, Annie Newby, Mary Strickland, Irene Browder and Alma Robbins; brothers: Buster, Sonny, Jones Howard and Joseph Robbins.
He is survived by his son: David Robbins and wife Theresa of Randleman; daughters: Charlene Helms and husband Andy of Pleasant Garden, and Sharon Culbreth and husband Jim of Randleman; grandchildren, David, Christopher, Austyn, Brayden, Savannah, Erin, and Peyton; sisters: Treva Browder and Betty Ogle; and his special canine companion, Sheeba.

Rev. Robbins' great great grandmother is Hollen Briles Gregson.

Elsie Ruth Gregson Wall Dies

Elsie Ruth Gregson Wall passed away February 8, 2016. A memorial service celebrating Ruth's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Pugh Funeral Home, 600 South Main Street, Randleman, NC 27317. The family will receive friends on Saturday at the Pugh Funeral Home Chapel from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Born in Guilford County on November 2, 1923 to the late Hubert Clayton and Hazel Ruth Barker Gregson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Van Wall; two sisters, Betty Jo Gregson and Sarah Gregson Fields; and five brothers, H. Clyde Gregson, George C. Gregson, Boyd A. Gregson, Charles L. Gregson and James W. Gregson. She is survived by three sons, Van G. Wall, Ronald L. Wall and Gary G. Wall; four grandchildren, Lisa W. Biddle, Van G. Wall, Jr., Brian J. Wall and Emily C. Wall; and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Ola Mae G. Brown, Marie G. Shoe and Helen L. Gregson; one brother, Clayton O. Gregson; two sisters-in-law, Annie Lou Gregson and Elvin H. Gregson; and one brother-in-law, Charles Fields. Great grandmother is Hollen Briles Gregson

Ruby Arlene Brookshire Spencer Dies

Ruby Arlene Brookshire Spencer, 85, of Trinity died Sunday, January 4, 2015 at her residence. A graveside service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at Floral Gardens Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. David Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends the evening before, Wednesday, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Cumby Family Funeral Service, Archdale. Born July 23, 1929 at home in Guilford County to the late Clifford Brookshire and Leona Pierce Brookshire. She was married to the late Grayson Lee Spencer, Sr. In addition to her parents and husband, Arlene was preceded in death by four brothers. Survived by son Grayson Lee “Pete” Spencer, Jr. of Trinity, daughters Vickie Spencer of Trinity, Betty Carter and husband Von of Trinity, and Alice Scott of Conyers, GA. She is also survived by her sisters Becky Outen of Asheboro, and Linda Canter of Cedar Square, and a brother Ray Brookshire of High Point. Nine grandechildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
