Her homecoming came Saturday night, April 5, 2014 at Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, Scotland. Born June 13, 1927 in Montrose, Scotland the second eldest of eight to the late
Charles Millan & Beatrice Hampton Cameron. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gordon Tavendale, brothers Charles & Tommy Cameron and her sister Elizabeth Bushnell "Betty" Morrison. It is the wishes of Margaret to be cremated and no services are planned, at her request. “Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.” Those who are left to mourn until the coming of the Lord are her children, Douglas & Beryl Tavendale; sisters Sheila Cameron Spellman (Johnny Spellman), Catherine Cameron Briles (James Rex Briles); Brothers James Hampton "Mickey" Cameron and Garry Cameron (Mary McLean); and three grandchildren. Margaret is my aunt and sister to my mother Catherine Cameron Briles. We are deeply saddened at the passing of Margaret and ask for prayers for our family. May God place his hands on our grieving family and give us strength to carry on with precious memories of Margaret God Speed!
