A family gathering is scheduled at the VA National Cemetery.
She was born in Toyama, Japan on January 16, 1927, the eleventh child of Masajiro and Taka Sasakura. In December 1952, she married Owen Briles.
Preceding her in death were Owen in 2003, and her son, Martin in 2022.
She leaves behind daughters, Helen Cook and Judy McCulloch, five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
