Marie Hoover Moran Dies

Marie Hoover Moran, 83, of Asheboro, died Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro. The family will receive friends from 12:00-12:45 p.m. Wednesday at West Bend United Methodist Church, prior to the service and other times at the home of her daughter, Gail Rabb. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at West Bend United Methodist Church with Rev. Kari L. Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Randolph Memorial Park. A native of Randolph County, Mrs. Moran was born March 3, 1934, the daughter of the late Moody and Vellie Hoover. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Wesley Moran; and niece, Rachel Leach. Mrs. Moran is survived by her daughters, Gail Moran Rabb (Harold) of Asheboro, Diane Moran Fowler (Scott) of Gastonia; son, Steve Moran (Angelia) of Gastonia;, brother, Wiley Hoover (Clara) of Seagrove; grandchildren, Kristina Robinson (Dale), Dana Sanders (Ben), Neil Rabb (Meaghan); great-grandchildren, Abigail, Gage, Coy, Alexis, Vernon, Kayla, Garrett, Kinsley, Chase; and nieces, Rebecca Mills and Rhonda Onken.
