Edith Alberta Kindley McElreath, of Asheboro, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at The Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro at the age of 92 and 7 months. Viewing hours will be at Ridge Funeral Home on Thursday, December 10, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A private graveside service will be conducted by Revs. Joe and Judy Beane at Randolph Memorial Park. Born in the Tabernacle community on May 10, 1923, the oldest daughter of the late John Wesley Kindley and Hazel Spoon Kindley. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank Kindley, Bennie Lee Kindley, Lewis Kindley, and William Arthur Kindley; sisters, Marie Hunt, Lois Dickens and Elizabeth Carter. Mrs. McElreath is survived by her daughter, Barbara M. Davis and husband, Eddie of Asheboro; sister, Stella Edwards of Asheboro; and stepsister, Janet Hollifield of Asheboro. She is also survived by many cherished nephews and nieces, who lovingly call her "Aunt Ede".
