Mary Rachel Jones Welborn

Mary Rachel Jones Welborn, 82, passed Wednesday, September 14, 2011, at Thomasville Medical Center. Funeral service will be 2 pm Monday at Freedom Missionary Baptist Church, with Preacher Clyde Akers officiating. Burial will follow in Lexington City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 5 to 7 pm at Davidson Funeral Home and other times at the home. Born August 8, 1929, in Davidson County, to Homer Jones and Woodrow Edwards Jones. Preceded in death by her parents, husband Everette Lee Welborn, two sons: James Stephen Robbins and Mark Randall Welborn; and one brother, Buck Jones. Surviving are a son, Joseph Mark Welborn of Lexington; two daughters, Tona Salmon of Lexington and Lori Kim Welborn of Georgia; granddaughters, Nikki Robbins of Georgia and Ashley Lynch of Lexington; one brother, Jimmy Randall (Randy) Jones and his wife, Joyce, of Lexington; nieces and nephews, Stacy Wilson and husband, Dale, of China Grove, Chris Jones and wife, Carol, of Georgia and Robin Hyder of High Point.
