Coy Loflin Passes
Coy Brown Loflin, 87, passed Monday, May 9, 2011 at The GrayBrier Nursing & Retirement Center. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Westfield Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Stevens and Rev. Terry Boles officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born on August 6, 1923 in Randolph County to Cepha Milton Loflin and Nannie Hancock Loflin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Mae Gordon Loflin on October 16, 1978; brothers, Roy and Eugene Loflin; and great-granddaughter, Alexis Lynn Loflin. Surviving are his sons, Donald Loflin and wife Sharon, and Jimmy Darrel Loflin, all of Thomasville; sister, Ruby Lee Noah and husband Bill of Thomasville; brother, Billy Loflin and wife Farrist of Thomasville; two grandchildren, Misty Owens and husband Vann of Trinity, and Derrick Gordon Loflin and wife Amy of Thomasville; and four great-grandchildren, Brent Andrew Owens and Erica Shay Owens, both of Trinity, and Cameron Maddox and Eleanor Leigh Loflin, both of Thomasville.
