James Franklin "FranK" Arnold Dies

James Franklin "Frank" Arnold, 79, a resident of Silver Valley, passed Thursday, Feb. 10, 2011, at the Hinkle Hospice House of Davidson County. Funeral was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Trinity; Revs. Bill Foust and Karen Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born Oct. 7, 1931, in Randolph County to Irvin Penn Arnold and Ola Hoover Arnold; preceded in death by his parents and sisters Esther Jarrell, Opal Parrish, Mary Lee Spivey, Golda Green and Ruth Arnold. On Oct. 29, 1954, he married Peggy Christine Parrish, who survives of the home. Surviving in addition to his wife is his son, Tim F. Arnold and wife Cindy of Lexington; his grandson, Travis Arnold; and sisters Ola Mae Pope and husband Luther of Trinity and Jewel Randall of Charlotte.
